Player Story

Ryan Hackney was a prolific pathways performer and earned his spot on the NSW list after outstanding Under-17 and Under-19 campaigns.

His Sheffield Shield debut came as a 22-year-old in the back-half of the 2021-22 season, and the opener would begin to play semi-regularly over the next two seasons.

The breakthrough moment for the dashing leftie came in March 2023, when he backed up his maiden half-century with a second-innings century, against South Australia at Karen Rolton Oval.
