BenDwarshuis

Hailing from the Sutherland Shire, Ben Dwarshuis is a hard-hitting lower-order batsman and a sharp medium-fast bowler. 

He has been a regular with the Sydney Sixers since KFC BBL|04, and finished with the second-most wickets in the competition in BBL|10 (24). 

The left armer's fine form for the Sixers earned him a one-day gig for New South Wales, making his List A debut in the 2016-17 Matador Cup, but over the next few seasons, games for the Blues would be rare. 

Dwarshuis got a chance at the back-end of the 2020-21 Marsh Cup and took it with both hands, playing NSW's final three matches of the season and then the final – where NSW defeated Western Australia. 

Meanwhile, Dwarshuis played in back-to-back title victories of the Sydney Sixers in BBL|10 and BBL|11. 

His regular wicket-taking was rewarded with a trip to Pakistan with Australia's T20 squad, where he made his international debut in the one-off match in Lahore. 

Dwarshuis made a memorable Marsh Sheffield Shield debut in October 2022, taking the wicket of Sam Whiteman with his very first ball in first-class cricket. 

The 2023-24 summer also brought Dwarshuis some highlights: he returned to the Australian XI for two T20s in India in November and then took 5-21 against Brisbane Heat in the Qualifier final of BBL|13.
