Strano announced herself as one of the top specialist T20 spinners in the country in 2014-15, topping the wicket-taking in the women’s domestic T20 competition with 22 wickets at 12.59. 

Her talents also earned her a place in the Australian squad in 2014-15 and her miserly performances have ensured she should enter into calculations for future Australia teams.

Strano missed the 2015-16 WNCL season through injury but bounced back during the inaugural season of the WBBL for the Renegades, taking 18 wickets for the tournament to be named the Renegades’ most valuable player for WBBL|01.

Strano debuted for Australia in 2017 and in just her second game, took 5-10 against New Zealand.

She was recalled as a last-minute injury replacement for the T20 World Cup in 2020, where she played two group games and famously stole the show dancing with Katey Perry after the final.

Strano has consistency remained around the top of the all-time WBBL wicket-takers list and in WBBL|06 became the first player to 100 wickets.

In 2021, she left Victoria and the Renegades, signing with Tasmania and the Hurricanes, and played a key role in the Tigers' WNCL three-peat.
