When most NSW students were busy fretting about their HSC exams, Lauren Smith was making her debut for the NSW Breakers in late 2014.
She helped the Breakers to a bonus-point seven-wicket win over ACT in their first 50-over game of the season at Blacktown, finishing with figures of 4-35.
Smith started her Big Bash career at the Sydney Sixers, before shifting to cross-town rivals Sydney Thunder ahead of WBBL|06, where she helped the club secure their second title.
She was delisted by the NSW Breakers at the end of the 2022-23 summer, but found a new home in Tasmania, where she played a part in helping the Tigers secure a third consecutive WNCL title.
In 2024 she made her Tassie move complete, signing with the Hobart Hurricanes ahead of WBBL|10.
