Player Story
Grace Parsons grew up in northern New South Wales and signed with the Brisbane Heat in WBBL|08.
The leg-spinner has yet to debut in teal but has made a splash in her first two seasons of the Queensland Fire.
In 2022-23, she was named player of the season in her first summer after taking 15 wickets, while she was Queensland’s leading wicket taker in 2023-24 as they finished runners-up.
In 2023, Parsons was announced as the inaugural winner of the Pike-Maher Medal at the Queensland Cricket Awards Gala for outstanding community contribution, after helping to organise flood clean-up and retrievals during the catastrophic flooding event in her hometown of Lismore.
In the immediate aftermath, she donated her first Queensland match payment and co-ordinated similar donations from the Queensland Fire squad and their opponents South Australia.
Her potential with her leg-spin was recognised in 2024 when she was included in the Australia A squad that hosted India.
