Player Story
Right-arm quick Darcie Brown is one of the most exciting and fastest young talents in the country.
The kid from Kapunda in country South Australia, Brown's ability to bowl quick was spotted when she was in her early teens.
Making her debut aged 17 in 2020 during WBBL|06, Brown terrorised the competition's best batters with her raw pace and bounce.
Her performances saw her crowned the WBBL|06 Rebel Young Gun, awarded to the tournament’s best player under 21.
It led to her maiden international call-up for Australia's tour of New Zealand in early 2021, where she made her T20 International debut in Napier.
One year later, Brown found herself an integral part of Australia's winning ODI World Cup team, and success at the 2023 T20 World Cup in South Africa followed.
