Born in New South Wales and having grown up in Canberra, Jason Behrendorff made his debut for Western Australia in a one-day match in 2011, bagging a wicket with his very first ball.

His breakthrough season came in 2013-14 when he finished the summer as the second-highest wicket-taker in the Sheffield Shield with 40 wickets at 22.70. His 11 wickets in 9 games paved the way for the Perth Scorchers to win their maiden BBL title the same summer.

In February 2017, Behrendorff became the first player in 33 years to take nine wickets in a Shield innings, capturing the remarkable figures of 9-37 against Victoria.

In just his second T20I after his debut against India in late 2017, he took an incredible 4-21, dismissing Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey.

Behrendorff would have to wait until January 2019 to make his ODI debut but only months later he was selected in Australia's ODI World Cup squad, playing five matches for the tournament.

Although his first-class cricket has been on hold since the end of 2017, Behrendorff has continued to be a star in the white-ball formats, winning multiple titles with the Scorchers and Western Australia in the One-Day Cup, as well as featuring in the Indian Premier League and other global leagues.
