Daniel Drew was rewarded for his unbelievable Premier season in 2016-17 by winning the Bradman Medal, South Australian Premier Cricket's highest individual honour and earning a rookie contract with South Australia in 2017-18.
It would take Drew until December 2019 before he made his Sheffield Shield debut, but it wasn’t until the 2021-22 season that he became a regular in the Redbacks lineup.
The following season was a breakout for SA’s No.3, hitting 656 runs, the second-most in the competition, and scoring an unbeaten double century against Western Australia.
While his red-ball runs dried up in 2023-24, he showed real ability in the Marsh Cup, which included a hundred (again against WA) and two fifties in only four innings.
He also played three matches with the Adelaide Strikers in BBL|11.
