A strong fast bowler from the Gold Coast, Xavier Bartlett's ability to swing the new ball both ways at pace makes him a potent threat at the start of the innings in all three formats.

Born in Adelaide, Bartlett's family moved to Queensland when he was a child. He came through the age-groups ranks with Queensland and made his first XI Premier Cricket debut for Gold Coast Dolphins as a 17-year-old.

The right-armer represented Australia at the 2018 Under-19 World Cup before making his one-day debut for the Bulls later that year, before getting his first taste of the Sheffield Shield at the beginning of the 2019-20 season.

Barlett initially made an impression for the Brisbane Heat in KFC BBL|10 in one-over bursts under the 'X-factor' rule in place for that season, but it wasn't long before he became a mainstay for the teal team.

After playing an important role in the Heat's unlikely run to the BBL|12 final, he was the leading wicket-taker the following season as he helped Brisbane go one better and take out the title.

Bartlett made his international debut on the back of that outstanding tournament, shining in his first match for Australia in an ODI at the MCG after taking a wicket with just his third delivery.
