A technically correct right hander, Teague Wyllie showed his talent with a strong Under-19 World Cup in 2022, which included a century against Scotland.
Two months later, Wyllie was handed with Sheffield Shield debut and then in his second match, he was already a Shield winner as Western Australia broke their title-drought.
Wyllie’s first game of the season that followed really set tongues wagging, his 104 against New South Wales at 18 years and 163 days old made him the youngest centurion in the Shield since Ricky Ponting.
Wyllie, who says he has modelled his game on Rahul Dravid and Kane Williamson, went viral in 2018 as footage of him facing a bowling machine at 100mph as a 14-year-old did the rounds on YouTube.
