Player Story
Towering fast bowler Brendan Doggett was upgraded to the Queensland senior list in 2017-18 after spending one year with a rookie contract.
Originally from Toowoomba, Doggett was named the Lord’s Taverners Indigenous Cricketer of the Year in 2016.
Doggett made his Sheffield Shield debut against Victoria in October 2017 and was part of the landmark Aboriginal XI tour of the UK in June 2018.
A two-time Sheffield Shield winner, Doggett took 5-101 in the 2017-18 decider against Tasmania and also took wickets in the win over New South Wales in 2020-21.
The following season though, Doggett was on the move, signing with South Australia to work under the tutelage of Jason Gillespie.
In the Big Bash League, he’s played for the Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers.
