Off-spinner Michael Cormack secured a rookie contract with South Australia for the 2016/17 season.
He made his debut against New South Wales in the Matador Cup and impressed by returning figures of 1-42 from 10 overs and claiming the prized scalp of Blues captain Moises Henriques.
Cormack also shone at the Under-19 National Championships in 2015, topping the wicket charts with 21 scalps at 16.57.
He was selected in Australia’s Under-19 ICC World Cup squad before the team pulled out of the tournament in Bangladesh.
