Player Story

Powerful English batsman Phil Salt made his Big Bash debut in BBL|09 as an international signing with the Adelaide Strikers.

A heavy-hitting right-hander, Salt has played a key role with the Sussex Sharks in England's T20 Blast competition in recent seasons under coach Jason Gillespie and alongside fellow Strikers Rashid Khan and Alex Carey.

Renowned for his aggression at the top of the order and energy in the field, Salt made an immediate impact in his first Big Bash season with 361 runs at a strike rate of 164.09.
