From Dunsborough in the Margaret River region about three hours from Perth, Lance Morris earnt the 'Wild Thing' nickname not long after he had moved to the Western Australian capital as a raw teenager who bowled at frightening pace.

Morris earnt a rookie contract with WA after turning heads for Premier side Scarborough and soon had Sheffield Shield batters ducking and weaving as he gradually learnt to how to harness his raw pace. 

By the 2022-23 summer, the right-armer was considered one of the fastest bowlers in the country and earnt a call-up to Australia's Test side having taken more wickets than any other bowler at the halfway point of that season's Shield competition. 

Morris, who has played in the KFC BBL for the Melbourne Stars and the Perth Scorchers, revels in bowling as quick as possible, telling cricket.com.au in 2022: "I don't want to be that channel bowler that just bowls outside off all day and waits for the batter to make a mistake. I want to get up them a bit and intimidate and blast them out."
