A fast-bowling allrounder, Will Salzmann was part of the Australian side that finished third at the 2022 Under-19 World Cup, taking 12 wickets in six games.

Still only 19, he made his List A debut for NSW that September against Victoria.

Salzmann got more of a crack the following season and impressed with the white ball, taking 13 wickets in only five One-Day Cup games, at a stunning average of 14.76.
