Player Story
A powerfully-built allrounder, Ben Manenti rose to prominence with a great debut season with the Sydney Sixers in KFC BBL|08, proving his worth as an economical off-spinner.
Eager to have similar success in the other formats, Manenti made the call to leave his native New South Wales and try his luck with Tasmania for the 2021-22 summer.
He managed just one Marsh Sheffield Shield and one Marsh Cup match for the Tigers, and the following season had been signed up by South Australia.
It was a match made in heaven, as the allrounder thrived in his new environment, missing only one Shield match in his first two seasons at the state.
Manenti's batting success (609 runs during the 2023-24 Shield season) has seen him slowly creep up the South Australia batting order, while his safe hands at slip are highly valued as well.
Thanks to his Italian heritage, Manenti made his international debut for Italy during the 2023 T20 World Cup qualifiers, along with his brother Harry.
