Shamima Sultana holds the record for being the first ever Bangladeshi woman to score a half-century in T20I cricket, recording the feat against South Africa in May 2018.
The wicketkeeper batswoman made her T20I debut against Pakistan in March 2014, also playing her maiden ODI in the same series.
Sultana was Bangladesh's top-scorer in the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, registering 131 runs in six innings.
She continued her form in the year with a run-tally of 87 runs during Bangladesh's successful ICC WT20 World Cup 2018 Qualifier.
