Batter
A supremely talented allrounder, Jack Edwards was the opening batter for Australia during their run to the final in the Under 19 World Cup in 2018.
In October 2018, Edwards became the youngest player to make a century in the Australian men’s domestic one-day competition, hitting 116 against Queensland as an 18-year-old in just his fifth match.
A month later, he had his maiden Sheffield Shield century too, 101 against Tasmania.
A few frustrating seasons followed as injuries and form curtailed his rise, but things began to click in the back-half of the 2022-23 season.
Edwards enjoyed his best season to date in 2023-24, and had a massive impact with the ball, taking 22 wickets in the Shield, 14 (at an average of 13.14) in the Marsh Cup and 11 in the BBL for the Sydney Sixers.
