Caoimhe Bray, whose Gaelic Christian name is pronounced 'Keeva', set a new WBBL record as the competition's youngest player when she made her Syndey Sixers debut in the WBBL|10 opener at 15 years and 34 days old, taking the wicket of West Indies legend Deandra Dottin and hitting the winning runs in a memorable first outing against the Melbourne Renegades.
Bray, who in 2024 also represented the Young Matildas as a goalkeeper in the U17 Asia Cup, has grown up like her idol Ellyse Perry playing both cricket and football.
The dual sporting star from New South Wales' Hunter Region signed a three-year contract with the Sixers ahead of the WBBL|10 campaign, having previously featured in an Australia U19 squad for a Brisbane tri-series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka in September 2024.
