Player Story
Allrounder Doug Bracewell comes from a family of tough New Zealand cricketers.
His father Brendon was a fast bowler who played six Tests and an ODI, while his uncle John was a long-term international offspinner and former national coach.
Bracewell, who is an attacking lower-order batsman and nippy seamer, was picked for his first tour when named in the one-day and Test squads to face Zimbabwe in October 2011.
Bracewell represents Central Districts and has been on the New Zealand first-class scene since 2008, scoring two half-centuries and taking one five-wicket haul.
In his 19 Tests he has collected 55 wickets, including 6-40 against Australia in late 2011.
