With a reputation for bowling raw pace, Mahli Beardman made his One-Day Cup debut for state powerhouse Western Australia aged just 18 in late 2023.
Two months later and the express quick was a key player in Australia's successful Under-19 World Cup campaign in South Africa, taking 10 wickets for the tournament including a pivotal 3-15 in the final.
Despite having only one List A match to his name, Beardman was called into the Australian squad as cover during their white-ball tour of England in September 2024.
