If Rahul Dravid had been born in another era Sachin Tendulkar would be compared with him.
Dravid played 164 Tests and made a monstrous 13288 runs at an average of 52.31, with 36 hundreds and 63 fifties to his name.
In his ODI career, he amassed 10889 run from his 344 games, with 12 centuries and 83 fifties and an average of 39.16.
Australia have restricted Dravid to an average of 41, almost 12 runs less than his career mark, but he has hurt them on memorable occasions. In Kolkata in 2001 his 180 and a double century to VVS Laxman earned victory after they followed on. His 233 in Adelaide two years later ensured another hugely satisfying victory.
