Wicket Keeper
Wriddhiman Saha launched himself on to the cricket scene with a century in his Ranji Trophy debut in 2007 and was considered a wicketkeeper-batter with plenty of potential.
His Test debut came when he was drafted in last-minute as a batsman to replace an injured Rohit Sharma after Sharma injured himself on the morning of a match against South Africa in 2010.
He scored 36 in the second-innings of that Test but was consigned to the sidelines after Sharma returned and did not make another Test appearance for two years.
Saha’s one-day international career has been similarly stop-start but he was a strong player in the Indian Premier League for Kings XI Punjab in 2014, securing his place as a vital part of the team’s line-up.
In the IPL final against Kolkata Knight Riders he became the first player to score a century in an IPL final after making an unbeaten 115 from 55 balls.
