Anesu Mushangwe is a talented right-hand leg-spinner with a remarkable back story, who has experience at international level.
She played 21 Twenty20 Internationals for her native Zimbabwe, taking 33 wickets at an outstanding economy of just 3.1.
After moving to Australia in 2019, Mushangwe proved a force in SACA Premier Cricket, finishing as Glenelg’s leading wicket-taker in 2021-22’s First-Grade and T20 competitions to earn a place in the Premier Cricket Women’s Team of the Year.
The following season, Mushangwe became the first Zimbabwean to play WBBL when she debuted for the Adelaide Strikers, before making her WNCL debut for the SA Scorpions.
She impressed, taking a four-wicket haul in the WNCL Final and earning her first full contract ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Mushwangwe played a key role in the Strikers' second consecutive title in WBBL|09, playing every game. In 2024, she signed a state contract with ACT Meteors.
