Player Story
A former Hockeyroos player, Carmichael switched her focus to cricket in 2016-17 after narrowly missing selection for the Rio Olympic Games.
The gritty right-hander was a regular fixture in Perth's title-winning Weber Women's Big Bash League side, playing 13 of the team's 14 games in WBBL|07, including the Final.
Carmichael is a versatile batter who possesses power and touch in equal measure and can bat anywhere in the middle order. She is also an excellent fielder.
Carmichael remains a core member of the WA line-up but switched Big Bash allegiances to the Sydney Sixers in 2023 ahead of WBBL|09.
