Originally from NSW, Amy Edgar played in the small country town of Cowra as a junior, before becoming a member of the premiership-winning NSW under-15 team in 2012-13.
After moving west, Edgar made her WA debut primarily as a batter in 2017-18, but in the years since has developed into a consistent allrounder, with her off-spin becoming a vital asset to the Western Australia and Perth Scorchers bowling groups.
She had to wait longer to break into the Scorchers side, making her Scorchers debut in WBBL|07.
Edgar went on to become a regular in WBBL|08, featuring in all 14 matches and impressing both with the ball and with her versatility with the bat.
She is also one of the best fielders in the WA side.
