Kolkata Knight Riders held their nerve to extend their winning streak to 11 matches with a four-wicket win against Lahore Lions in their Oppo Champions League Twenty20 clash in Hyderabad. Statistician Mazher Arshad brings you the key numbers from the clash.

31 The number of wickets Sunil Narine has taken in Champions League Twenty20, the most by any bowler in the tournament’s history. Narine went past his compatriot Dwayne Bravo, who has 28 wickets and is playing for Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing event. Twenty one of Narine’s wickets in CLT20 matches have come for his home team Trinidad & Tobago, while he has claimed 10 for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

5 The number of times Narine has conceded 10 or less runs in his four-over spells in CLT20 – his overall economy rate in the tournament history is 4.19. Interestingly, in the Indian Premier League, Narine has never conceded 10 or less runs in the four-over quota.

11 Kolkata Knight Riders' winning streak is growing with each game. Their win against Lahore Lions was Kolkata's 11th consecutive in the 20-over format, starting from the IPL earlier this year. They won nine games back-to-back in the IPL and have now won two in the Oppo CLT20, taking the overall tally to 11. No IPL side has ever won this many matches on the trot, although a team from India (Bengal), has won 12. The world record is 25 wins by Sialkot.

11 The number of times Lahore Lions had defended a target in their last 11 T20s stretching back to March 2012. In the past two years and six months, they had not lost a match after batting first. Kolkata Knight Riders finally put an end to Lahore’s streak when they defeated the former by four wickets at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. It was also only the third time that Lahore Lions failed to win after posting 150 or more in first innings in the team's history. Remarkably, they have won 24 times after scoring in excess of 150 in the first innings.

11 The number of times Robin Uthappa has scored 40 or more in his last 12 innings in T20 cricket for KKR. His last 12 innings read: 46, 5, 42, 41, 83, 67, 40, 80, 46, 47, 65, 47.

1 The century stand between Gautam Gambhir and Uthappa was the first 100-run partnership for the opening wicket by Kolkata Knight Riders in all CLT20 cricket.

64.81 The strike rate of Lahore Lions’ batsmen apart from Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal, who combined to score 99 off 66 balls at a strike rate of 150.00. The rest of the Lions batsmen managed only 35 from 54 balls at a paltry rate of 64.81. After Shehzad (59) and Akmal (40), the third highest contribution in Lions’ innings came from Extras (17).

40.33 Mohammad Hafeez’s batting average when he is playing for Lahore Lions, almost 14 more than his overall career mean (26.79) in T20 Cricket. It is also highest average by any Lions batsman (500 runs minimum).

0 The number of players Kolkata Knight Riders had in the playing XI from the team they fielded in the first ever match of the IPL in 2008. It has been only six years but things have changed vastly for Kolkata. Interestingly, one KKR player from the inaugural match was playing tonight’s game and that was Mohammad Hafeez, now captain of Lahore.
