Abhishek Sharma hit his first Indian Premier League half-century as the Sunrisers Hyderabad kept reigning champions Chennai Super Kings winless after four games with an eight-wicket victory in Mumbai.
Later on Saturday, Glenn Maxwell played his part in helping the Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in Pune.
Bangalore joined the top four after Anuj Rawat (66) and Virat Kohli (48) anchored them to 3-152 with nine balls to spare.

Suryakumar Yadav (68 not out) hit a second successive half-century to lift Mumbai's total after Bangalore had claimed four wickets in 11 balls.
Australian star Maxwell made his mark for Bangalore by running out Tilak Varma with a brilliant underarm direct throw.
Maxwell then sealed the match with successive boundaries off the only two balls he faced.
Rawat and Faf du Plessis contributed a cautious 50-run opening stand for Bangalore and then Kohli put the game beyond Mumbai's reach by sharing a stand of 80 with Rawat.
Rawat hit six sixes and two fours before getting run out in the 17th over and South Africa's legspinner Dewald Brevis had a dream start when he trapped Kohli leg before wicket off his first ball in the IPL.
Scorecard: Sunrisers Hyderabad v Chennai Super Kings
In Mumbai, Abhishek's brilliant 75 off 50 balls took Hyderabad to their victory target of 2-155 with more than two overs to spare, while Rahul Tripathi smashed an unbeaten 39 off only 15 balls against star-studded Chennai, who'd struggled to 7-154 in their 20 overs.
Abhishek had holed out in the deep off Dwayne Bravo with 10 required for victory but Tripathi guided Hyderabad to their first points from three games with a boundary, leaving Chennai bottom of the table.
Earlier, Moeen Ali had top-scored with 48 off 35 as Chennai's struggles with the bat continued.
