Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat will kick off the WBBL finals playing The Challenger on Wednesday night at Adelaide Oval
WBBL Finals set for Adelaide Oval, Optus Stadium
Optus Stadium and Adelaide Oval have been confirmed as the venues for this year's Weber WBBL|07 finals, following the final day of the regular season.
Perth Scorchers sealed top spot on the table with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Sydney Sixers, earning the right to progress directly to and host the decider under the new WBBL finals system, and now have the advantage of a week off to rest and prepare for a tilt at their maiden WBBL title.
Melbourne Renegades earned the right to host The Challenger after finishing in second position, and selected Adelaide Oval as their preferred home venue with the match unable to be played in Melbourne due to border restrictions that would prevent travel to Perth for the final.

The Renegades made that call to allow their Victorian friends, family and fans to travel to Adelaide, with South Australia easing border restrictions for double-vaccinated travellers on November 23.
Under the new WBBL|07 Finals structure, The Eliminator will also be held at Adelaide Oval due to the one-day turnaround between matches, giving Adelaide Strikers the home advantage over Brisbane Heat for the match, despite the Heat finishing in third position on the ladder.
The Strikers were already safe in the top four heading into their last match of regular season, and their nine-wicket defeat to Melbourne Stars on Sunday had no impact on their progression to the finals.
Perth will not know their opponent in the decider until after Thursday's Challenger final, which pits the second-ranked Melbourne Renegades against the winner of Wednesday's Eliminator between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat.

It will be the first time the WBBL decider has been held at the 60k capacity Optus Stadium, and only the third women's Big Bash game at the venue.
The Scorchers have played at the ground twice before in double-headers with the KFC BBL; the first was a semi-final in WBBL|03 against Sydney Thunder, the second a Boxing Day blockbuster against Brisbane Heat which attracted a crowd of 14,983.
The last time the tournament final was played in Perth was in WBBL|02, when the Scorchers went down to the Sixers at the WACA Ground, and the last time the Scorchers featured in the decider was in WBBL|03, when they lost to the same opponent at Adelaide Oval.
The Renegades are the only team from Victoria or New South Wales to qualify for the finals; players and staff hailing from both states and the ACT spent the entire tournament on the road following a quarantine to begin the campaign.
"We thank them, along with all players, staff and match officials across the competition, for their commitment to the Weber WBBL," Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s General Manager of Big Bash Leagues, said.
"We want to thank the Melbourne Renegades and their fans for their understanding around being unable to play finals matches in Victoria due to state border restrictions."
