Ashes Test cricket the goal for Pattinson

The ball lobbed up towards mid-on and James Pattinson pouched the catch that won Victoria their fourth JLT Sheffield Shield title in the past five years and released a fresh surge of joy and elation in the fast bowler. 

Pattinson's wildly enthusiastic celebrations when he takes a wicket while bowling are compelling viewing, lifting spectators and teammates and sweeping them along on his wave of emotion. 

There was plenty of that unbridled passion on display at Junction Oval on Sunday as Pattinson's four wickets propelled Victoria towards glory, and his catch to secure the Shield title was outwardly no different. 

Pattinson, leaped, whooped, and ran to his teammates. In the celebratory huddle he threw back his head and howled at the heavens with delight.
