Whittle down these 39 names from Australia's elite cricketers into an XI that you think can beat England on their home turf
Ashes Selector: Pick your Australian Test XI
Pick your Australian XI for the first Ashes Test below
It's the toughest and most scrutinised job in Australian sport – and now it's yours.
Selecting the Australian men's Test team has never been an easy task, and there's never more at stake than in an Ashes series.
Australia have not won a Test series in England since 2001 but hope to end 18 long years of hurt over the next eight weeks.
Australian selectors will name a 16-player squad at the conclusion of the current intra-squad match in Southampton for the five Test series that starts at Edgbaston on August 1.
But how they will whittle that down into a playing XI is the question on everyone’s lips.
Our Ashes selector lets you pick from 39 Australian players, including the World Cup and Australia A squads as well as some players in the UK this winter with county cricket deals.
The selector lets you pick the XI in any way you see fit. The selector will provide suggestions – it will offer up the three wicketkeepers available when it comes to choosing your No.7, for example – but you choose who bats where.
And when you've nailed the XI you believe will bring home the Ashes, be sure to share your team with your friends and followers on social media.
