Take a look back at some of the best - and worst - of Australia's ODI kits from past seasons
Flashback: The best Australian ODI kits
Australia's decision to wear a throwback one-day strip for their Gillette ODI Series against India has sparked a wave of nostalgia for green and gold uniforms of years past.
The Aussies are wearing a green and gold kit this month that is similar to the one Allan Border's side wore during the corresponding one-day series against India back in 1986.
The response on social media was overwhelmingly positive and the Aussie players are loving it too.
"It's pretty awesome actually," paceman Peter Siddle said.
"We found out the other day we were going to be in it, so the boys were a bit excited to get their pack and open up and check it out.
"Everyone is very impressed."
To celebrate, take a look at some other retro ODI kits from the two decades between 1987 and 2007.
2007 World Cup
More Australian gold than canary yellow, the Aussies wore this with style on their way to a third straight World Cup title.
Circa 2006
A rare deviation from the all-yellow kit, this away strip from 2006 was more green than gold.
Circa 2005
This away strip in the mid-2000s included a new green and gold pin stripe look down the sides.
2003 World Cup
Simple, effective ... and a winning look for Ricky Ponting's side.
Circa 2000
A bold new look for a new century, featuring a unique blue strip down the side.
1999 World Cup
So yellow it was almost florescent, the Aussies lit up the early English summer on their way to the trophy.
Circa 1997
A regular of the mid- and late-1990s, this striped number brings back plenty of good memories, including a hat-trick for Anthony Stuart (below) at the MCG.
1996 World Cup
The multi-coloured stripe across the middle was standard issue at this tournament, but there was no doubt who the Aussies were representing.
Circa 1994
The Southern Cross takes pride of place in this strip, with a predominantly gold strip contrasting nicely with ...
Circa 1994
... The Australia A strip from the same era, a mirror image of the senior side's look.
Circa 1993
Lightning bolts were cool once, as shown by this look from the early 1990s
1992 World Cup
Australia's World Cup campaign on home soil was one to forget, but at least they looked good.
Circa 1990
Taking a page from baseball's uniform designs of the era, this Australia kit had green and white stripes and the team name in cursive diagonally across the front.
Circa 1987
The original kit that the 2019 side sought to replicate, with Allan Border playing a lead role.
