Flashback: The best Australian ODI kits

Australia's decision to wear a throwback one-day strip for their Gillette ODI Series against India has sparked a wave of nostalgia for green and gold uniforms of years past.

The Aussies are wearing a green and gold kit this month that is similar to the one Allan Border's side wore during the corresponding one-day series against India back in 1986.

The response on social media was overwhelmingly positive and the Aussie players are loving it too.

"It's pretty awesome actually," paceman Peter Siddle said.

"We found out the other day we were going to be in it, so the boys were a bit excited to get their pack and open up and check it out.

"Everyone is very impressed."

2007 World Cup

More Australian gold than canary yellow, the Aussies wore this with style on their way to a third straight World Cup title.
