The Renegades got one back over the Sixers at Drummoyne thanks to Courtney Webb's final-ball maximum, while the Heat strengthened their grip on top spot
WBBL wrap: Last-ball six steals stunning win
Webb's six seals miraculous Renegades win
Melbourne Renegades have pulled off a stunning victory against the Sydney Sixers, with Courtney Webb hitting a six from the final ball of the match to seal victory.
Adding injury to insult, star allrounder Ellyse Perry is also under an injury cloud after suffering an apparent shoulder injury.

The Renegades needed 28 runs from the final two overs to snatch an unlikely win, with unheralded pair Webb and Carly Leeson in the middle.
No.9 Leeson (16) hit a four and a six from the 19th to give her team a sniff, but it remained an almighty task with 16 required off the last, bowled by South Africa star Marizanne Kapp.
Leeson took a single off the first, before Webb hit a two and a four. Leeson was run out keeping her partner on strike from the fourth delivery, before Webb ran another speedy two.
With five needed from the last ball, or four for a super over, Webb connected perfectly for a big six over long on, sealing a momentous win.
Making victory all the sweeter was the fact it came at the same venue where the Sixers won a super over in last year’s semi-final to knock the Renegades out of the tournament.
Earlier, a 43-ball 55 from Renegades opener Danni Wyatt laid the foundation for the pursuit of the Sixers’ 4-139, but the cheap dismissals of Sophie Molineux (14), Tammy Beaumont (6), Josie Dooley (2) and Erica Kershaw (2) left the Renegades in trouble at 4-67 before Webb joined Wyatt.
In concerning signs for the Sixers, who were already without import Dane van Niekerk who suffered a nasty cut to her hand on the eve of the match, Perry stood up clutching her right shoulder in pain after tumbling while fielding on the boundary.
She remained on the field but did not add to her three overs.
Sent in by the Renegades, a speedy 34-ball 52no from Kapp added crucial runs for the Sixers.
Alyssa Healy (4) was castled by a superb Lea Tahuhu delivery second ball of the match, Ashleigh Gardner looked promising in her 26-ball 36, while Perry never fully got going in her 45-ball 37.
Tahuhu was the pick of the Renegades bowlers, taking 2-20.
Jonassen, Mooney star for in-form Heat
Brisbane Heat have strengthened their grip on top spot on the Rebel WBBL ladder, cruising to an eight-wicket win over the Perth Scorchers at Drummoyne Oval.

Australian stars Jess Jonassen and Beth Mooney starred as the Heat reeled in the Scorchers’ below-par total of 8-112 with 3.5 overs to spare.
Mooney, who passed 500 runs for the season in just her 10th innings, brought up her sixth half-century to steer the Heat home, finishing unbeaten on 60 from just 44 deliveries.
While the early departures of fellow opener Maddy Green (12) and first drop Sammy-Jo Johnson (5) ignited hope in the Scorchers camp, Jonassen (32no) joined Mooney in an unbroken 79-run stand to see the Heat home with eight wickets in hand.
It capped a successful Sydney weekend for the defending champions, who were victorious against the Thunder on Saturday night and back up impressively showing no signs of fatigue despite the 10am start on Sunday.
Jonassen (4-23) was the star with the ball for the second time in as many days, claiming another four-wicket haul to sit alongside the 4-13 she captured against the Thunder, propelling herself to the top of the league wickets table.
Johnson was also impressive, taking 2-16, including the key wicket of Australian captain Meg Lanning (1) in the second over of the match.
Fellow Perth opener Amy Jones (9) also fell early and the Scorchers never properly recovered, with Natalie Sciver’s 29-ball 26 their main contribution as their three-match winning streak came to an end.
