Sri Lanka fielder stretchered into an ambulance after colliding with advertising hoarding in Barbados
Perera stretchered off after nasty crash
Sri Lanka's Kusal Perera was stretchered into a waiting ambulance after a nasty fielding incident shortly before dinner on the third day of the third Test in Barbados.
Perera was fielding at long-on from the bowling of Dilruwan Perera, when West Indies tailender Shannon Gabriel launched the ball high and in his general direction.
The Sri Lankan opener made a spectacular interception on the rope, but the momentum from his diving grab took him well beyond the boundary and into the advertising hoarding surrounding the outfield.

After crashing through the hoarding, a prone Perera clutched at his chest, before laying face down on the ground for an extended period as he was attended to.
Eventually, he was carefully loaded onto a stretcher by medical staff, and put into an ambulance, with umpires having called a slightly early dinner due to the extended delay in play.
West Indies were 9-88, boasting a lead of 138 after an eventful two sessions in which 14 wickets had fallen.
West Indies lead the three-match series 1-0.
