Bravo out to make impact at BBL|08

The West Indies allrounder is ready to perform for his new side during the upcoming Big Bash tournament

Buckle up, Melbourne: the Dwayne Bravo Show is back in town and the West Indies entertainer is intent on securing the BBL title with the Stars.

After four barren years with the Renegades, Bravo has crossed the city's Big Bash divide to help Team Green's push for a maiden tournament win.

"I want to win Big Bash again," Bravo told reporters on Tuesday.

"The last time I won it was with the Sydney Sixers and that was years ago.

"I'm looking forward to getting the opportunity to call myself a champion again.

"I'm really motivated and determined to get the Stars into a better position.

"... It's a new challenge for me in new colours and I'm looking forward to it."

Bravo was part of the Sixers squad that took out the inaugural BBL title in 2011-12, but only made it to the semi-final stage (against Adelaide Strikers last season) on one occasion in his stint with the Renegades.

The Stars finished outside the finals for the first time last season and farewelled international stalwarts Kevin Pietersen and Luke Wright.

Despite switching to the other side of one of the BBL's biggest rivalries, Bravo isn't expecting too much banter when the sides meet in their blockbuster derby at the MCG on New Year's Day.

"It's just going to be another cricket game ... a game for me to try to make my team win," he said.

"I remember when I used to play for the Renegades against the Stars, I had a very good relationship with the Stars players as well.

"As professionals, this is the direction cricket is heading now ... one day you're on one team and the next you're on another.

"... I had four good years, I enjoyed every moment, but I'm looking for something different and a new challenge."
