Australia sprung a few surprises when they announced their squad on Thursday, leaving out the likes of Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh and James Faulkner. NSW captain Moises Henriques gets another chance, while Chris Lynn looms as an x-factor for the two-time champions.

BANGLADESH

Bangladesh have recalled paceman Shafiul Islam as part of their 15-man squad for the tournament. Boasting the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim in their line-up, the rising subcontinental nation look to be as strong as at any time in their brief cricket history.

NEW ZEALAND

The Black Caps have named injured trio Corey Anderson, Adam Milne and Mitchell McClenaghan in their 15-man squad. Kane Williamson will lead the No.3-ranked ODI team in the tournament, who tackle two-time champions Australia in their opening match on June 2 at Edgbaston

The defending champions, India were the only team to not reveal their 15-man squad by the April 25 deadline and are yet to confirm when the squad will be announced.

PAKISTAN

Pakistan dropped veteran opener Kamran Akmal from their 15-man squad, despite him playing a role in their recent ODI series in the West Indies, but recalled his younger brother Umar as well as former skipper Azhar Ali.

The Proteas named uncapped spinner Keshav Maharaj in their 15-man squad after the left-armer's successful entry into Test cricket over the past six months. Morne Morkel returns to a side missing recovering pace veteran Dale Steyn, while the world's No.1 ranked ODI batsman, AB de Villiers, takes the reins as captain.

Lasith Malinga is back and will play his first ODI since November 2015 in the lead-up to the tournament. Also returning from a lengthy injury lay-off is regular skipper Angelo Matthews. He missed Sri Lanka's three previous series with a foot problem.
