Aussie cricketers give thanks on Father's Day

A host of Australia players have taken to social media to thank their dads on their special day

Australia’s cricketers have taken to social media to show appreciation for their dads on their special day.

Posting from Bangladesh, where the Australian Test squad is preparing for Monday's second Test in Chittagong, vice-captain David Warner acknowledged both his own father and his two daughters Ivy Mae and Indi Rae.

I'm really looking forward to seeing my 3 amazing girls next week. I love you 😍. candywarner1

Happy Father's Day to my old man howiew31 what a legend he is. Have a great day dad. Love ya.

Australia allrounder Jess Jonassen and seamer Megan Schutt were among others who gave thanks to their fathers, alongside spin legend Shane Warne and former Australia captain Michael Clarke.

South Australia batsman Jake Lehmann - son of Bupa Australia head coach Darren - wasn't to be outdone, going into the archives to find a classic picture of his father during his international playing days.

What a human. 🍻

And the dads among the Australian cricket ranks weren't forgotten, with players including Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Marsh and Clarke spending quality time with their children.
