Warners welcome baby daughter Indi Rae

Joy for David and Candice Warner as they announce the arrival of baby Indi Rae

Australia opener David Warner and wife Candice have become parents for a second time, taking to social media to announce the arrival of a second daughter this morning.

Warner, who flew from Perth to Sydney following Australia's win over India on Monday to be with Candice, revealed the couple had named their second daughter Indi Rae.

She is a younger sister for first child Ivy Mae.

"Candice and I welcomed beautiful little Indi Rae Warner into the world this morning. Mum was absolutely amazing," Warner shared on Instagram on Thursday morning.

Warner then shared a picture of Ivy Mae meeting her little sister for the first time.

The Warners revealed they were expecting their second child during the Qantas Tour of the British Isles last year, along with a number of players' partners as the Australian cricket team's family continues to grow.

Ivy Mae is a regular fixture around the Australian cricket team, with Warner even bringing the youngster to a press conference at the end of the third Test against the West Indies, where she managed to steal the show.

Michael Clarke and wife Kyly welcomed daughter Kelsey Lee in early December, while Mitchell Johnson and wife Jessica are also expecting their second child.

Warner's departure from the ODI squad saw the in-form Usman Khawaja earn a limited-overs call up, although it remains to be seen whether he or Shaun Marsh will join Aaron Finch at the top of the order for Friday's second Victoria Bitter ODI against India at the Gabba.
