Nicholas leaves hospital but remains off duty
Channel Nine commentator Mark Nicholas has been discharged from hospital after suffering a health scare on day one of the Boxing Day Test.
After working during Channel Nine’s coverage in the morning, Nicholas was taken from the MCG by paramedics for treatment at a local hospital after suffering “abdominal pain”.
"Mark was discharged from hospital last night,” a Channel Nine spokesperson said.
"While he wants to return to the Nine Commentary team today (Tuesday), his bosses have insisted on a day's rest.
"He has again thanked everyone for their good wishes and support."
