Haddin, for his part, seemed to enjoy his time in the field without gloves, fielding at gully and point before being posted on the boundary by captain Michael Clarke.
Shane Watson was typically miserly with the ball, sending down a five-over spell of 1-5 including his first wicket on tour, that of Ben Slater (20).

Shaun Marsh, who has scored two centuries on tour, is expected to fill in for Rogers if the 37-year-old is unable to prove his fitness.
Nevill also batted at No.6 in this match, two spots above Haddin.
He impressed in Australia's 405-run win at Lord's, scoring a polished 45 and snaring seven catches to equal Brian Taber's Australian record for most dismissals on Test debut.
Haddin withdrew from the second Test due to family reasons.
