Bravo sustained a low-grade tear to his left hamstring sprinting for a quick single in the West Indies win over Pakistan last Saturday in Christchurch.
The left-hander was forced to retire hurt on 49, missing the comprehensive win over Zimbabwe in Canberra and tonight's thumping loss to South Africa.
It is unclear who will replace the 26-year-old at this stage.
