Scorchers to open WBBL in legendary style
The Perth Scorchers will make their Rebel Women's Big Bash League debut alongside some of cricket's all-time greats next Friday in a WA Festival of Cricket double-header.
The WBBL Scorchers will meet the Brisbane Heat at Perth's Aquinas College on December 11 from 10am, before their male counterparts take on a Legends XI featuring the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Justin Langer and Andrew Symonds from 2.30pm.
The men's Twenty20 match will act as a tune up for the reigning KFC Big Bash League champions ahead of their season opener against Adelaide Strikers on December 21.
