Victorian speedster pips Coulter-Nile for fast bowling spot against West Indies
Pattinson returns to Test XI in Hobart
Australia captain Steve Smith has confirmed James Pattinson, Josh Hazlewood and Peter Siddle will form the hosts' pace attack for the first Commonwealth Bank Test against the West Indies in Hobart starting tomorrow.
Pattinson, who returns for his first Test since March 2014, edged out West Australian paceman Nathan Coulter-Nile for the fast bowling spot left vacant by the injured Mitchell Starc.
"I think he has played enough, he has been bowling really well, he deserves his chance," Smith said of Pattinson's inclusion.
"He just needs to go out and do what he does well.
"He is similar to Hazlewood the way he bowls. Hopefully those two can lead the attack well."

Smith also confirmed the batting order will remain unchanged, meaning allrounder Mitchell Marsh stays at No.6 and wicketkeeper Peter Nevill at No.7.
"He's there to do a job, to score runs for the team," Smith said of Marsh remaining at No.6.
"Hopefully he plays his natural game."
