No major signings as Bushrangers stick with squad
White leads way for Victoria
Cricket Victoria has backed the 2013-14 Bupa Sheffield Shield wooden spooners to rebound next summer with nine squad members signing new deals, headlined by a four-year contract extension for Cameron White.
White, the reigning Domestic Player of the Year, joins Australia limited-overs teammates Aaron Finch and James Muirhead in signing long-term deals with the Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers.
Muirhead, 20, has also signed a four-year deal while Finch changed his mind about a move away from the state to commit to Victoria for another three years.
Cricket Victoria Talent Manager Andrew Lynch said White's contract was a "great reward" after the 2013-14 season.
"In the past 12 months, Cam has been brilliant in all forms of cricket," Lynch said.
"He has regained his spot in Australia's short-form sides and has also been named in the up-coming Australia A series.
"We see him as a key part of our long-term plans."

Finch has spoken about his desire to succeed in red-ball cricket, and associated problems with making the transition from short form blaster to long-form accumulator.
Muirhead was a part of Australia's World T20 squad in Bangladesh and the Bushrangers believe higher honours await.
"We see both James and Aaron pushing their claims for long-form cricket for Australia," Lynch said.
"The Australian side needs young spinners coming through and we see James as the best of them."
After a fruitful end to the season, which included an innings of 170 against Tasmania, Marcus Stoinis has been signed for three seasons while Peter Handscomb has had his deal extended for another two years.
"We were very excited about Marcus' performance in the second half of the season and we look forward to seeing what he can produce in the future," Lynch said.
Victoria has signed on bowlers Scott Boland and Jake Reed while Australia Under-19 quick Ben Ashkenazi and Melbourne young gun Seb Gotch have both been given rookie contracts.
Michael Hill, Jayde Herrick and Will Sheridan were cut loose by the Bushrangers.
