Fans are now able to listen to audio commentary of the Commonwealth Bank Ashes series wherever they are in the world.
Listen to the Ashes Test from anywhere
Cricket Australia has upgraded its official iOS app, Cricket Australia Live: The Official App, following feedback from fans across the globe.
People outside Australia will now be able to stream radio commentary for the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series from the ABC or BBC via the Cricket.com.au desktop website (but not via mobile devices, except in the UK where fans can listen to BBC commentary on BBC5 Live and on http://www.bbc.co.uk/5livesportsextra)
And cricket fans who have downloaded the app can now also listen to the coverage even when they are not in the app environment.
Some of the other upgrades to the official iOS Cricket Australia app include;
Subscription - there were some issues with subscription purchases not being recognised within the app and these have been resolved;
Video - fans can select their vision quality for live streaming to control data usage via a high/medium/low toggle;
Radio - Ability to listen to the coverage when you're out of the app
Location Settings - users must ensure that location services is on within the settings of their mobile device and once this occurs they will no longer receive messages within the app in relation to location determination
Connection through Facebook, Twitter or email - Improved layout and interface.
Cricket Australia also addressed the above issues for Android and the upgraded version of the app is now in the Google Play store.
