Bright and clear skies in Brisbane this morning, so a full day’s play at the Gabba is expected. However, the forecast is for a late storm tomorrow, but Gabba curator Kevin Mitchell is expecting the storm to be late in the day. Mitchell is hopeful of three clear days but is not at all confident for days four and five. Check the most recent updates here.
Pitch
Andrew Ramsey reports some small cracks have appeared in the pitch on the eve of the first Test, making a four-pronged pace attack unlikely. It’s a win the toss and bat first kind of day.
