NSW bowler takes 5-1, SA all out for 10

Incredible scenes in the Imparja Cup as NSW dominate South Australia

The New South Wales women’s side has claimed an incredible win over South Australia at the South Australian counterparts at the National Indigenous Cricket Championships, bowling their rivals out for just 10 runs.

Batting first, 10 of South Australia’s 11 batters were dismissed for ducks, with opener Febi Mansell the only player to score runs off the bat.

Her total of four, combined with six wides, saw SA just manage to reach double figures.

Six of the South Australian batters were bowled and two given out lbw.

Roxsanne Van-Veen returned the unbelievable figures of 5-1 off her two overs, while Naomi Woods took two wickets with the only two balls she bowled.

The innings was over in just 62 deliveries.

It took NSW just 15 balls to knock off their target in the 20-over match, but it wasn’t without a wobble as they lost two wickets along the way.

Opener Dimity Parton departed a first-ball duck, but there was no repeat of the first innings with South Australia taking just one more wicket.

It was South Australia’s second loss of the tournament after a 102-run defeat to the Northern Territory.

The match was NSW’s first of the tournament. They boast a strong line-up featuring several current or former Rebel WBBL players, including Mikayla Hinkley and Hannah Darlington.
