The Next Gen: Michael Cormack (South Australia)

Cormack is a Nathan Lyon in the waiting, able to use his off-spin and variation to bamboozle batsmen. Recognised by the SACA’s system at a young age, Cormack has showed his abilities at the state level and was rewarded with 21 wickets in the most recent Under 19 National Championships, leading all-comers. His inclusion as the lead spinner alongside Sam Grimwade in the Australian under 19 squad signalled the strides the South Australian had made and his addition to the Futures League set up means all signs point to a rookie contract.
