Welcome to your new cricket.com.au

Cricket Australia unveils new digital products for a massive summer

What's Happened to Cricket.com.au?

In the offseason, like any sporting team, we took a long, hard look at ourselves. And we did user research. Lots of user research. And we decided it was time to make some changes.

It was time to separate the business of organising cricket in Australia from the business of giving fans access to every ball played, every bail knocked off and every six smashed into the crowd.

So now there are two sites:

Cricket.com.au is where you'll find reporting, analysis, live scores and streaming video. It's where the play never stops.

Cricketaustralia.com.au is where you'll go for everything to do with running the game of cricket in Australia, including organising overseas tours to watch the Aussies play.

These two sites are the results of more than 11 months of research, design and development.

Let's take a closer look.

Cricket.com.au

It doesn't matter how you enjoy cricket, this is will be the first place you look for what's happening right now.

Breaking News

Cricket.com.au's news team is working whenever cricket is happening. News doesn't wait.

You'll have access to every story when it breaks. Months of hard work have gone into making sure the layout is intuitive, informative and exciting. The stories you are interested in will always be just a tap or click away.

We have Australia’s largest cricket newsroom, and no one takes you closer to the Australian cricket team.

Match Centre

Whether sitting at a desk, travelling on a bus or just ducking out to the other room when the in-laws are over for dinner, you need to know what's happening in the match that's on right now.

The cricket.com.au Match Centre takes you straight to the action with access to full scorecards for the diehards or quick summaries for those in a rush.

We've redesigned the ball-by-ball commentary to give you a better sense of exactly what's happening every time a bowler approaches the crease and every time an umpire might raise an eyebrow.

Streaming video and audio

Introducing Live Pass, your instant access to all the live radio and video coverage for any match presented by Cricket Australia.

You just need to connect a free Australian Cricket Family membership to get started. That will get you all the live radio you can handle. Or, for $29.99 you can buy the 365 Live Pass.*

Cricketaustralia.com.au

Everything you could possibly want to know about the people, the decisions, and the responsibility of running Australia's most popular sport.

For the first time in Cricket Australia's online history there can be a living document to report everything the organisation does to make cricket better and even more popular in Australia.

You'll be able to see pieces of Australia's cricketing history and see history in the making.

Visit the website here.

Cricket Live App

The app you loved from last summer has had an update to match the new clean designs of the websites and the new season's phone.

iPhone users will be pleased to know we worked closely with Apple to make sure that the app makes the most of features on the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Android users will really appreciate the improved structure to get to the info you need as quickly as possible.

It's the world of cricket wherever you go.

It's all about more enjoyment

A little over a year ago we wanted to start moving towards a future where cricket can be enjoyed as much as possible by as many people as want it.

We conducted intensive research into what fans wanted from the coming together of cricket and new technologies.

Everything you've read about here is just the first step. We're looking at every bit of information that comes out of Cricket Australia and asking how it can be used or improved to make everyone enjoy cricket a little bit more.

The next few years are going to be a lot of fun.

In the meantime, if you’ve feedback on our new designs, we’d love to hear them. Drop us a line at digital@cricket.com.au, tweet us at @cricketaus or take our short survey
