A highly regarded youth cricketer, Kara Sutherland is slowly starting to establish herself at the next level.
After bursting on the scene in 2010-11 with a Player of the Match performance against Tasmania in a T20, Sutherland is developing into a useful allrounder, combining her sharp left-arm pace bowling with some valuable contributions in the middle and lower-order.
As she gains more experience, Sutherland is becoming more consistent.
Originally from Ballina on the State’s North Coast, Sutherland is part of a talented sporting family with her cousin, Mitchell Aubusson, winning a NRL premiership with the Sydney Roosters in 2013.
Sutherland moved to the Queensland Fire for the 2015-16, seeking more opportunities as she pushed to break into the Australian team.
